Diggers is a fluctuating collective project consisting of Eric Barry Drasin and collaborators.

Diggers is a reference to several counter cultural communities, western funeral rights and the realization of suffering as the underlying condition of compassion. The Diggers settlement in Mercantile England resisted the emerging property relations of capitalism and were promptly slaughtered. The San Francisco Diggers eventually burned out. The Buddhists persist, but have all sorts of sex scandals. And funerals are expensive.

Through the use of networked media, aleatoric score, and performative feedback, Realtime media is contextualized as an interdependent and fluctuating psychic space; an extension bridging interior and exterior awareness. In this way, the mediated relationship between self and other can be sculpted through signal processing.
